Read this Article! - The article encourages former spouses by use of a "fabricated person" (via a movie actor) to assume all retired military persons are the "bad guys" (in this case adultery by the service member) and retirees spouses should hire an attorney to ensure retired military individuals have their retainer/disability pay taken away from them no matter what the circumstances are leading up to the divorce. All this despite the fact that disability pay is for the retirees' injuries sustained while on active duty and is protected by Federal Law and despite the fact that retainer pay is a monthly pay check for retainment in the military's All Volunteer Forces' available pool of retired recall individuals in case the President or Congress recalls them during a National Emergency.
